This is the first album from the NFM Choir. Under one title, Słowa dźwiękiem malowane (Words Painted with Sounds) are works by Polish composers written to Polish poetry. They are characterised by a perfect combination of word and sound, which was the basic source of interpretative inspiration for the ensemble and the conductor. The selected compositions are choral miniatures with numerous examples of musical rhetoric, presenting the beauty of both Polish music and Polish poetry. Stylistically different and separated in time, the poetic texts present an image of the richness of the art of the Polish word, while the music, which is the work of contemporary Polish composers, shows their great sensitivity and rhetorical awareness. We also tried to use our knowledge and skills to ensure that the picture that was painted before the eyes of the poet, then the composer, then the conductor, and finally the ensemble, was finally painted in your imagination.
