Congratulations on the birth of your baby; we hope that your beautiful life together will be accompanied by music. It stimulates emotional development, and it is through it that the child learns how to express and tame feelings. Family singing develops the child’s habits and need for contact with art. The good emotions, warmth and love associated with music are capital for life. A teenager, and later an adult, can also draw from such capital.
To enjoy music, you don’t have to be a musician or a specialist. First of all, you need to develop the ability to experience it and derive pleasure from it, even if you only sing for your own pleasure and if it doesn’t always work out perfectly. We teach children many skills that will be useful in adult life. We show them how to walk, swim and ride a bike, and in the same way, we can teach them how to experience music, thereby making their own inner world incomparably richer.
The Pośpiewaj mi mamo, pośpiewaj mi tato (Mummy, Daddy, Sing to Me) campaign has been running for 10 years. Inspired by contacts with specialists, midwives from antenatal classes and singing parents, we present this album to you. Great musicians, singers and, above all, parents have worked on it. We hope that the musical material provided will be a good spark for the musical shaping of the young generation – because music can show the way when raising a wise and righteous person.
